David Callele doesn’t want to rain on anybody’s parade. He just wants to stop budding entrepreneurs in gamification from making mistakes they could otherwise avoid.
Callele, whose consultancy Experience First Design is based in Saskatoon, recently visited Stratford, Ont., where he attended the Gamification 2013 conference and met with researchers to discuss the commercial viability of their ideas.

“It’s an important conversation to have,” Callele says. “I try to be really honest, and if they’re telling me something that isn’t going to be profitable, that isn’t going to attract venture interest, I tell them that.”
